The Differences!
What are the differences between Life-Coaching and Therapy?

Therapy focuses on mental health and emotional healing, while life-coaching focuses on setting and achieving goals. A therapist may focus on the reasons for a client’s behavior and thought process based on history, whereas a life-coach will focus on how to overcome obstacles to reach a client’s goals and pursue greater potential. Life-coaches collaborate with the client to sustain progress toward the goal/s and to build greater self-awareness and accountability. Life-coaches help to uncover what a client needs to succeed and guides one towards the goal.

Life Coaching focuses on how to navigate opportunities or challenges to reach goals and independence. Coaches work on current problematic behavior to improve them and gain greater self-reliance and awareness. An academic or development life-coach provides the systems to help students, teens, college-age, and adults learn and implement core skills, such as Executive Functioning skills, that assist in helping academic or work-based performance and healthier and stronger relationships holistically.
