Hey friend!
Meet Ashley Mangione!
Ashley is a professional educator and reading tutor with students ranging from Pre-K to 7th grade. Ashley was a previous elementary and pre-school classroom teacher. She’s always been a lover of children and an advocate for their needs.
Ashley obtained her Elementary Education degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is also a graduate of the Augustine Literacy Project (ALP). The Augustine Literacy Project uses the Orton-Gillingham approach and Wilson Reading System materials. Orton-Gillingham is a multi-sensory explicit, systematic approach to reading instruction that has been effective with students who struggle with literacy for a variety of reasons.
As a mom of three adult children who all have different learning styles, Ashley brings experience and passion in desiring to develop and strengthen each child’s abilities, just like she wanted for her own children. She is devoted to encouraging all children and seeking out their gifts and talents while strengthening their academic success and individuality. She has been touched personally in her family by various hidden learning challenges, including ADHD and speech disorders, and feels strongly about advocating for all children by turning challenges into opportunities. When she is not busy working with children, she spends as much time as she can outdoors, traveling, riding bikes, or gardening.
